House passes marijuana legalization bill (again), but with no clear path forward

The House of Representatives passed the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act on Friday to a vote of 220 -204. While the vote passed the House of Representatives, it is not expected to pass the Senate as the vote was primarily along party lines. Today's vote showed the divide between the parties on how to move forward with cannabis policy; the bill addresses social equity issues, criminal justice reform, and decriminalization, upon which there is a great disagreement between Republicans and Democrats on policy.
