New marketing regulations for adult use marijuana

The NYS Cannabis Control Board approves proposed marketing, advertising, labeling, and packaging regulations for the NY market during their latest board meeting on June 01, 2022. Tiffany Walters, CEO of NYS Cannabis Connect, spoke with Amal Tlaige of Albany News 10, to discuss how these new regulations call for the use of children-resistant and tamper-proof packaging as well as encourage the use of post-consumer recyclable materials. The board also reviewed the application process for lab certification and testing along with the fees. Another sixteen conditional cultivator licenses were approved by the board.
